Profile
Clark Lea was named Vanderbilt’s 29th head coach in December 2020 and he assumed defensive coordinator responsibilities while hiring Tim Beck as offensive coordinator prior to the 2024 season. Lea was the 2024 and 2025 SEC Coach of the Year and earned the 2025 FWAA Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year after Vanderbilt won 10 games and six SEC contests in 2025, each program highs. Under Lea the Commodores registered their first-ever win over a No. 1 team in program history and reached a program-high AP ranking of No. 9 in 2025, while Diego Pavia became Vanderbilt’s first Heisman Trophy finalist.
