Dan Lanning was announced as Oregon’s 35th head coach on December 11, 2021 and has led the Ducks to a 35-6 overall mark with double-digit wins in each of his first three seasons. He guided Oregon to an undefeated regular season and the Big Ten Championship in 2024—the program’s first year in the conference—earning the No. 1 seed in the 12-team College Football Playoff. Lanning arrived in Eugene after four seasons at Georgia, including three as defensive coordinator when Georgia won the 2022 national championship and his units ranked among the nation’s best in scoring and rushing defense.
