DeShaun Foster was elevated to UCLA’s head coach on Feb. 12, 2024 and completed his first season leading the Bruins in their inaugural Big Ten campaign in 2024. He spent the previous 11 seasons in college coaching — 10 at UCLA and one at Texas Tech — serving as UCLA running backs coach from 2017-2023 and being promoted to associate head coach in 2023. Foster oversaw a 2023 rushing rotation that featured four backs averaging at least 5.1 yards per carry and coached Zach Charbonnet into an NFL Draft selection. As a player, Foster rushed for 3,194 yards at UCLA and was a second-round pick in the 2002 NFL Draft.
