Kalani Sitake has been BYU’s head coach since 2016 and, entering 2026, compiled an 84–45 record through his first 10 seasons. He is the first BYU player under LaVell Edwards to return as head coach and the first FBS head coach of Tongan descent. Sitake’s recent teams produced consecutive double-digit seasons (2024–25), a 12–2 campaign in 2025 with a No. 11 final AP ranking, and multiple top-25 finishes while sending numerous players to the NFL.
