Kirby Moore was named Washington State’s head football coach on Dec. 12, 2025 after three seasons as Missouri’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach (2023-25). At Missouri in 2025 he helped guide the Tigers to an 8-4 record and mentored sophomore Ahmed Hardy to lead the nation in rushing per game (130.0 YPG) while Hardy ranked second nationally in total rushing yards (1,560) and was a Doak Walker Award finalist. Moore’s prior stops include Fresno State offensive coordinator in 2022 when the Bulldogs won the Mountain West and finished with a nine-game winning streak, and he coached wide receivers at Fresno State from 2017-19.
Coaching Approach
Offensive play-caller focusing on third-down and red-zone efficiency: Moore’s Missouri offenses improved third-down conversion national rankings (from 58th to 41st and 16th) and red-zone offense (from 90th to top-10 finishes in 2023-24), and as Fresno State passing game coordinator his units ranked fifth and ninth nationally in passing offense in 2020 and 2021 respectively (source text).
