Lincoln Riley was hired by USC on Nov. 28, 2021 after five seasons as Oklahoma’s head coach (2017-21) where he posted a 55-10 record and won four Big 12 championships. Riley is the only head coach to have coached three Heisman Trophy winners and three quarterbacks who were selected No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft, and he led Oklahoma to three College Football Playoff appearances. In his first USC season (2022) the Trojans went 11-3, Caleb Williams won the Heisman Trophy, and USC finished first nationally in turnover margin and second in third-down conversion percentage according to the source text.
