Profile
Sean Lewis was hired as San Diego State’s 19th head coach on Nov. 29, 2023 after five seasons as Kent State’s head coach (2018-22) and a 2023 season as Colorado’s offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach. His 2021 Kent State offense set school records for plays (1,052), total yards (6,907), rushing yards (3,482) and first downs (362) and produced Kent State’s Famous Idaho Potato Bowl berth. During the shortened 2020 season Kent State led the nation in total offense (606.5) and scoring (49.75) across four games. Lewis also served as co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Syracuse where the offense averaged 456.3 yards in 2017 and defeated defending national champion Clemson that season.
